CHASSIS
Transtyle trailers are made from the best marine grade aluminium chassis and is truly state of the art. Aluminium trailers have considerable advantages over their galvanised steel counterparts. They are lightweight, without compromising on performance, easy to maintain, and will never rust. The thin layer of aluminium oxide that forms on the aluminium surface when exposed to oxygen gives it the incredible corrosion resistance. Other aluminium trailers on the market are welded together. This creates welded joins that weakens the chassis and will crack over time due to the continued stress of towing. Transtyle trailers are completely weld-free.
BRAKES
All Transtyle trailers come with hydraulic disc brakes as standard. Other features include stainless steel brake hoses, flexible brake lines and heavy duty ventilated disc rotors. Our Kodiak brake callipers, all with stainless steel interiors, make for ideal marine use. This package combined, as standard equipment, not only offers an incredible amount of braking power, but it also virtually maintenance free. Our trailers over 2 tonne capacity are equipped with the top of the range Dexter Brake Actuator, which produces up to 1600 PSI, together with break-away system. All of our braking equipment is designed and manufactured in the USA. You can be confident that the brakes on your trailer are the best available and will not let you down.
AXLE / SUSPENSION
All Transtyle trailers have, as standard, state-of-the-art Reliable™ torsion bar suspension. No outdated unsightly leaf springs that rust and require constant maintenance! The Reliable™ independent torsion bar suspension is truly a revolutionary design. The rubber inner tubes dampen shock effect, reduce trailer sway at high speeds and are maintenance free. Another design innovation is the contoured bend in the centre of our axles. This allows for lower boat positioning which improves both handling and performance.
BUNK SUPPORT
Our unique Transtyle Bunk offers the best possible support for your boats hull. It is made from 100% Australian recycled polymer materials. They are highly resilient to UV and salt water and will not require constant replacement like the outdated wood/carpet combination. Our bunk system will look great for years to come with no fading due to the built in colour and no wear and tear. Asthetics aside, our bunks have a built in 6 way adjustment capability – vertical, horizontal, and tilt . This allows you to tailor the bunk to your specific boat hull giving optimal support both in transport and for storage. Keel rollers offer easy loading and unloading as well as centering. Wobble rollers are offered as an alternative.
WHEELS
Transtyle trailers come with modern stylish aluminium mag wheels as standard. These mag wheels will compliment your boat and trailer. Sizes include 14″and 15″. Our tyres are all high load rated and comply with ADR standards. Our tyres are 8ply GT radials and readily available from your local dealer. We also offer a spare tyre and hanger as optional.
LIGHTS
ALL of the lights on Transtyle trailers are high quality LED lights. This includes the side lights, tail lights and number plate lights. These lights are completely waterproof and fully submersible. They will also suit both 12 and 24 volt vehicles.
ACCESSORIES
As standard, Transtyle trailers comes with an exceptionally high quality winch, jockey wheel and coupling. The winch rope is made from a very robust newly developed material with a braking point of 1500kgs. Unlike the outdated seat belt material in other trailers, ours will not rot or fray and will not retain water once wet. Our winch rope will float, unlike cables, and in the unlikelihood of breakage, will go limp to prevent injury. Transtyle jockey wheels have a spring loaded lever for quick and easy retraction. All of these standard accessories are Trojan and easily replaceable Australia wide through Repco stores.
